Corsair is not the only manufacturer which builds a trailable trimaran. There are several reasons that their boats are the highest performance, most convenient, best value of all these boats.
 | Patented folding system: The fastest, smoothest. most convenient. Easily fold the boat while it is motoring. (Not when it is sailing please). |
| Longer Amas: when compared to other foldable tris the Corsairs have longer amas. As the boat accelerates and planes on the flat bottom of the main hull it is the length of the ama that ultimately will determine hull speed. |
| Vacuum Bag Construction: This removes excess resin and makes the hulls strong and light. |
| Light weight. Even the larger boats are easy to pull. |
| Trihedral main hull. Points well in light air yet is fast at higher speeds. Also makes for a very dry boat. |
| Rotating mast: The mast becomes part of the sail giving decreased drag and added performance. |
| Roller reefing main. Then main and Jib can be conveniently rolled on the boom. This keeps them out of your way while at anchor and makes them easy to stow when pulling the boat. |
