Geronimo (on left),  a 110 foot Trimaran with a 141 foot mast (the rig compares in size to the Statue of Liberty} is trying to set a new record for the Jules Verne around the world trophy.  Olivier de Kersauson who is sailing the boat around holds the solo record.   Sail powered multihuls continue to break crossing records set by power boats.  Geronimo set a new record on it's way to the Cape of Good Hope and is currently two days ahead of schedule for breaking the record of 64 days, 8 hours, 37 minutes and 24 seconds set by Bruno Peyron.  We will update the progress.

MULTIHULL SAFETY  On the right is a photo of Emma taken during this year's Chicago to Mackinac race.  Note the size of the wave on which the boat is surfing.  The peak speed recorded by the GPS was 28.8 knots.  Conditions like these warant a knowledge of SAFETY.  Check the information and links on our page.  We will soon have the 2003 racing schedule for this area posted on the Racing Page.

Corsair 36 debut at Strictly Sail

Here is the CORSAIR 36 in it's debut at Chicago's Strictly Sail Boat Show.  There are also a lot of great photos on the Corsair Site  The boat looks great and should answer the wishes of those who were looking for a more spacious live aboard boat.  The view from inside the cabin of this boat is similar to luxury cats.  Now you can have a spacious cabin with the legendary Corsair Trimaran performance.  The 36 is still trailerable.
